Yes, it's true that technically Blair could have been unseated by the people of Sedgefield. In fact, the father of a British soldier who died in Iraq stood as a candidate in Sedgefield to do just that!&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;If he was unseated two things could happen which would keep him as prime minister. First, he can technically be Prime Minister even without a seat (there have been ministers without seats - some in the House of Lords, for example, but never a Prime Minister).&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;The second, and most likely option is for a Labour Member of Parliament to step down from the seat he's just won (under intense pressure from the party).
